LEIA IS CURRENTLY BEING FOSTERED IN ILLINOIS.

Leia is a 4 1/2 year old, Tawny, 130 pound female Neapolitan Mastiff.  She is being fostered in Missouri (transport possible).  An individual rescued her from a dog auction, and then immediately surrendered her to Mastino Rescue.  Very little is known about her previous life.  We speculate that she was used to living in a wide open space in her life previous to rescue because many things in life are very new and frightening to her.  She is a little cautious/shy/scared of new things but will build more confidence every day with love and security.  She takes just a moment to warm up to new people.  Once she does, she wants nothing but for you to be her person.  Leia will have to learn how to walk on a leash, be potty trained and learn how to be a dog.  We do not know how she will do with other dogs or cats at this time.  She will be spayed, UTD on shots, HW tested and parasite-free.  If you are interested in adopting Leia, please go to our website at www.mastinorescue.org and complete a Family Profile.  Please remember you must own your home, no children under the age of 10 and have a 6 foot privacy fence due to our insurance requirements.  STAY TUNED FOR MORE UPDATES TO FOLLOW.
