Neapolitan Mastiff (short coat) : : Female : : Young : : X-Large
This gorgeous, blue Neo puppy, Gia, was just surrendered to Mastino Rescue, and she is currently in OH.
Gia is only 10-months old, and had THREE different owners prior to being surrendered to us. One of them gave her up because of her size, and because she drools. She’s a Neapolitan Mastiff, so...? This breed is certainly not for everyone, and that is perfectly ok. We just wish more people would do proper research before deciding they want to own this breed.
Gia is house trained and leash trained, but she is not crate trained and she needs to learn basic obedience. Gia loves playing with other dogs, and she is cat-friendly! Gia must be fed separately from other dogs, because she will guard her food from them, and she even guards her empty bowls. We believe all dogs should be fed separately anyway, so this shouldn’t be a big issue. Gia’s favorite game is tug of war, she loves to SWIM, and she loves riding in the car!
I almost forgot to mention that at 10-months old, Gia already weighs around 125#, so needless to say, she is going to be a VERY BIG GIRL!!
Please remember our requirements for adoption. You must own your home, must have a fenced yard, and no children under the age of 10, please.
If you are interested in adopting Gia, or any of our other Neos, please complete a Family Profile on our website at www.mastinorescue.org, so our Adoption Team can get in touch with you.
